About us


The Woodland Nursery is an outdoor nursery in South East London for 2½ to 5 year olds based on the Forest School approach. We believe the closer to nature children are, the happier they will be and therefore the more likely they are to learn. Free to explore nature's riches, a child’s senses are heightened which enhances their creative and imaginative play. The nursery is based in woodland and will offer outdoor play and learning 5 days a week, 39 weeks per year. Forest School embraces the outdoors as an inspirational learning environment focused on the child’s learning needs rather than specific outcomes. As the children explore and experience the natural world on a regular and sustained basis, a Forest School is a unique way of building confidence, boosting self esteem, learning new life skills and promoting independence through hands on learning experiences.
